(03/24/14) Ronald A. Stawecki, 73, of Westerly, RI, passed away on Saturday evening, March 22, 2014 at the Westerly Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife Marion, his devoted daughter Kathryn his caring step-son, Timothy Keating who was always there for him, his special and loving granddaughter, Michelle Keating who always made him smile, his step-son, John Keating, Jr., his son Michael, his daughter, Lisa, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Ron was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and came to CT in 1966. He started working at Baldwin-Stewart Electric as chief estimator working his way up to vice-president. He worked at McPhee Electric also as vice-president, retiring in 2011 but continued as a consultant until his sickness. The electrical industry has known Ron as very knowledgeable with a talent of bidding, getting the job and bringing it in on time. Through the years, Ron mentored and helped many, sharing his knowledge. He will be greatly missed.
I would like to thank my relatives and our friends for all of the cards, telephone calls and e-mails during his trying time. I would also like to thank the staff at hospice, L & M and the Westerly Hospital for all their devoted time in keeping Ron comfortable.
A memorial mass honoring Ron’s life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Clare, 62 Crandall Avenue, Misquamicut, RI 02891. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly, RI 02891.
