(02/19/13) Alfred A. Langlais, 73, of Uscapaugh Road, West Kingston, RI, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at at his daughter\'s home on Summit Avenue, West Warwick, RI. Born in West Warwick, RI he was the husband of the late Harriet (Pendleton) Langlais and the companion of Cheryl A. McWilliams.
He was the son of the late Albert and Eva (Lavallee) Langlais. Alfred was a carpenter for Reynolds Construction for many years until retiring. He was also a veteran of the US Coast Guard.
He is survived by seven children; Charles Desrosier, Martin Desrosier, Pamela Sharbono, Nancy Palardy, Brenda Langlais, Albert Langlais and Charlene Pruenca, eleven grandchildren; Louie, Chad, Jennifer, Sarah, Amanada, Casey, Jessica, Lila, Elissa, Erin and Kyle and eight great grandchildren; Zachary, Cecilia, Abigail, Madison, Kailey, Adison, Leara and Kaleb.
A funeral will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 9:00 am at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 62 Pleasant Street, West Warwick, RI.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
