(02/04/13) Muzzetta Evangeline (Potter) Lopes of Providence, RI passed away on Monday February 4th.
Muzzetta was born in Kingston on June 14, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Clifford F. and Aleathia J. (Martin) Potter. Muzzetta attended South Kingstown High School in Wakefield, RI and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She lived in Kansas City, Kansas before returning and settling in Providence, RI.
She is survived by her sisters Sarah Hall of Brooklyn, NY and Lillian Jordan of Providence, RI; and sister in law Marion Potter of Roxbury, MA. Several nieces and nephews and a multitude of beloved relatives and friends to fondly cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her brothers Edward, Clifford, Jr., Perry and Charles and her sister Elizabeth Owens.
The Funeral will originate in the Forbes Funeral Home, 28 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI on Monday February 11th at 10:00AM followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30AM. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston, RI. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield 1st Church of the Nazarene Activities Fund, 233 High St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
