(01/18/13) LAMOTHE, Iva B. (Barrette), 99, formerly of Ivy Dr., Coventry, passed away Jan. 10, 2013 at Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Lamothe. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Ovila and Ida (Bourque) Barrette. She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life.
Mrs. Lamothe was a teacher’s aide at the Trudeau Center for 15 years before retiring in 1979. She was a communicant of SS. John and James Parish where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Nina Circle # 67 and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane C. Holt and her husband John of Coventry and Maria L. Riccard and her husband Paul of Edgewater, FL; a son, Arthur J. Lamothe, Jr. and his wife Anita of Camden, NC; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Annette Sepe and sister of the late Doris Ferenz, Ovila J. and Jeannette Barrette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at 10 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Washington St., West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick.
