(01/16/13) CENTRAL FALLS. Yvette Therese (LeBeau) Carozza entered into eternal life on Saturday January 12, 2013 after an illness. She was the devoted wife of John Richard Carozza, who passed into eternal life on Monday, January 14, 2013.
John and Yvette met in 1949 and were married in October of that year and were devoted to one another ever since. Yvette was a daughter of the late Leo and Antoinette (Pothier) LeBeau. And John was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Goss) Carozza.
They raised two sons, David Carozza and his wife Patsy of Alabama and John “Rick” Carozza Jr., who unfortunately passed away two years ago.
Yvette was a home maker and was devoted to her family. Besides her son, she leaves a sister Lee Ann Lanciaux and her husband Paul of Cumberland and a brother, Leo LeBeau and his wife Anne Marie of Pawtucket, 2 Grandchildren, Jaimie Lea and John Carozza III, several nieces and nephews.
John was a master electrician, he had been the City Clerk in Central Falls and also had been the Director of Public Works for three years. He had been at one time a candidate for the office of Mayor in Central Falls.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday January 19, 2013 at 11 AM in the Cumberland Community Methodist Church, 481 Broad St. Cumberland. Inurnment will follow with Military Honors at the Columbarium Chapel at the RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
