(01/15/13) Christopher E. Mitchell, 57, of Coventry passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at Coventry Skilled Nursing. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Earl R. and Ella (Kenyon) Mitchell.
Christopher had been a printer for various printing companies and served in The United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a graduate of Coventry High School, class of 1973 and was a Varsity Hockey Player. He attended Rhode Island Junior College from 1973-1975 and played Hockey on the RIJC New England Championship 1973-74 Hockey Team. He played in the Coventry Men\\\'s Softball League for the Village Pub and VFW Post 9404. He was an avid golfer and antiquer.
He was the beloved father of Thomas Christopher Mitchell of North Kingstown and Vanessa Leigh Mitchell of Coventry. Loving brother of Emily M. Riley and her husband Richard of Coventry and Elizabeth M. Snow of Cranston.
Relative and friends are invited to Visitation on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9:00-10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
