(01/09/13) Bennett, Ruth F., 88, passed away on January 9, 2013 at West View Health Care Center in West Warwick. Born in North Scituate, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Estella R. (Bonneau) Bennett.
Miss Bennett worked at Kent Hospital in the dietary department for many years before retiring and prior to that had worked as a winder at Royal Mills.
She is survived by her sister Estella R. Bennett of Coventry; niece Robin L. Bennett, nephew Allen A. Vanleeuwen of Coventry, and the late Steven R. Bennett (nephew), niece Susan J. Lyttle and her husband Birt of West Warwick, niece Carol L. Bennett of West Warwick; great nieces: Ashley Bennett of Coventry and Kailley Marillo and her husband Fred of NC, great-niece Joy E. Thomas and her husband Michael of West Warwick, great nephews: Benjamin A. Lyttle of MA, Jonathan W. Lyttle of PA and his wife Amy, Timothy B. Lyttle of NY and his wife Stephanie and Daniel P. Lyttle of West Warwick; great-grandnieces and nephews: Isabella Marillo, Evan Lyttle, Jayden Lyttle, Levi Lyttle, the late Janessa Lyttle, Aiden Lyttle, and Jade Thomas. She was predeceased by two brothers Walter C. Bennett and Ernest E. Bennett.
A funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Monday, January 14 at 11 AM followed with interment at Woodland Cemetery in Coventry.
