(08/01/12) Rocca Mary Turillo, passed away peacefully Tuesday at her home in Warwick. Born in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Michele and Maria J. (Securo) Turillo.
Miss Turillo was an Executive Secretary for Atlantic and Pacific (A&P). She attended Bristol Public Schools, graduated from Colt Memorial High School and attended Brown University School of Journalism and the Providence Comptometer School. She was also a writer for the Bristol Phenix Newspaper and Italian American Massachusetts Gazette.
Mary was a communicant of St. Paul Church in Cranston, Past Regent of St. Paul Circle of the Daughters of Isabella and member of St. Benedict Circle of the Daughters of Isabella.
She was the beloved sister of Rev. B. Samuel Turillo, Pastor Emeritus of Sacred Heart Church, with whom she lived in Warwick, Fran Zimmerman and her husband Roy of Florida and the late Michael J. Turillo, Bridget Bolvin, Elia Riccardi and Theresa Blain. Loving aunt of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Daughters of Isabella of St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Ave., Warwick, RI 02889 would be appreciated.
