(01/08/13) Providence - Lorette Y. Mulcahey, 85, of Laura Street died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Stamford, CT, a daughter of the late Jean T. and Yvonne (St. Dennis) Maltais, Sr., she was a homemaker who raised eight children then worked as a nurse’s aide at Saint Elizabeth Home in Providence.
She is survived by five daughters: Catherine Quinn of Providence, Maureen Stechauner of Greenville, SC, June M. Bentley of Warwick, Patricia M Dillon of Hope Valley and Nancy Mulcahey of Cranston; two sons: Raymond F. Mulcahey, Jr. of Nashua, NH and James T. Mulcahey of Plainville, MA; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Elaine Hager.
She is being remembered as a woman who was very devoted to her family and for her great sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM.
