(01/06/13) MacDONALD, MARCIA (Theilig) age 69, of Dean St., Cranston, died unexpectedly at home early Friday morning, Jan. 4, 2013. She was the wife of the late H. Locke MacDonald. A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen (Sherman) Theilig. Marcia was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1961. She was the first female member and officer of the Squantum Club in East Providence, RI, serving as treasurer. She worked for Tucker Anthony and Prudential -Wachovia Securities downtown Providence for many years. She retired just a few years ago.
She is survived by her brother, Albert E. Theilig, and sister-in-law, Vertie F. Theilig, and her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Ronald Reeves of CT, all with whom she was very close. In addition, she is survived by her son, Roy A. Diefenderfer, three nieces, three nephews, and two grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved Maltese, Maggie Mae.
Her Funeral Services and VISITATION will be held Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 6 p.m. in \"WOODLAWN\" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.
