(01/04/13) Diamante C. \"Diamond\" Santilli, Jr., 70, of Cranston, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn J. (Kowalik) Santilli. Born in Providence, he was the son of Cecelia C. (Della Cioppa) Diamante of Warwick and the late Diamante C. Santilli, Sr.
Mr. Santilli worked as an Internal Auditor for the Board of Governors of Higher Education for the State of RI for 25 years until his retirement. He was President of D.C. Santilli, Jr. L.P.A., L.L.C. He was a graduate of Bryant University, former President and member of Valley Country Club, where he was a Sr. Champion Golfer, and longtime member of several accounting and professional associations. He and his wife vacationed at The Villages, Florida.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his three children: Steven M. Santilli of Cranston, Gary P. Santilli and his wife Patricia of Medway, MA, and Andrea Lynn Santilli and her husband Carl Nebelsky of Bradenton, FL. Cherished grandfather of Corinn Bradford, Alecia Santilli, Shawn D. Santilli and great-grandfather of Angela Bradford. He was the brother of Rosanne M. Andersen and her husband Russell of Warwick, Judith J. Santilli of Warwick, and Ann C. Moreira and her husband Stanley of Cranston.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 9:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 8:00 to 9:30 am prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Hasbro Children\'s Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
