(12/29/12) Errol H. Henlin, 93, of Cranston, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at the RI Veterans Home of Bristol. He was the beloved husband of Shirley H. (Lenau) Henlin. Born in Providence, he was the last of nine children of the late Henry A. Henlin and Mary (Greene) Henlin.
Mr. Henlin was an Educator at C.C.R.I until his retirement in 1985. He was a Graduate of RI College and a Communicant of All Saints Episcopal Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
His Requiem Eucharist will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00 am in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95).
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to All Saints Episcopal Church, or the RI Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809 will be appreciated.
