(12/27/12) Johnston - Patricia J. Malbaurn-Pruett, 67, of Plainfield Pike died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Pruett, Jr.
Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Arthur and Arlene (Card) Malbaurn, she worked as a quality control inspector for Star City Glass.
Pat was a big NASCAR fan whose favorite driver was Kyle Busch. She loved to read and to do crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter Donna J. Southard with whom she lived; her son Roy F. Pruett of Coventry; her sister Darlene Simmons and her husband Walid of Buffalo, NY; her brother James Malbaurn and his wife Patricia of Coventry; her aunt Mary Jane Nelson of Providence; her uncle Walter Card Jr. of Warwick and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Malbaurn Jr. and by her sister Donna Townsend.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour prior to the service from 2-3 PM. After cremation her family will hold a private interment service.
