(12/26/12) North Providence – Edward J. Robertson, 81, of Garfield Street died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie “Roe” (Bourcier) Robertson. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson were married for 57 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Archie and Anna (Fay) Robertson, he had lived in North Providence for the past 41 years.
Mr. Robertson was head of operations for Hindley Manufacturing Company, Cumberland before retiring.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lori Miller and her husband, Stephen of Lincoln, Lynne Robertson and her husband, Maurice Miller of North Smithfield and Susan Robertson of Narragansett; one son, Edward J. Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Kristin of Swampscott, MA; four grandchildren, Kristen and Evan Miller and Mackenzie and Reese Robertson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret Robertson.
His funeral will be held SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29 at 8 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
