Roy E Wareham - Cranston, RI

(12/20/12) Roy E. Wareham, 87, of Cranston, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital with his devoted family at his side. Roy was the beloved husband for 56 years to \"the love of his life\" Beverly (Gabrey) Wareham. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Edison and Louise (Ivimey) Wareham. A self-employed contractor, Mr. Wareham was the owner and operator of Wareham Construction Co. He served in The United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of Roger Williams #32 F&AM, a Potentate of R.I. Shriners from 1982-83, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, a Captain of the Temple Guard, the Masonic Veterans Association, 100/Marhaba Club and D.A.V. Service foundation. He was an honorary member of numerous other units within the Shriners Organization. Roy also enjoyed attending his grandsons\' football and hockey games and vacationing in Florida. He was the loving father of Susan Giblin and her husband William of Cranston and Sherry Paolino and her husband Anthony J. of East Greenwich. Cherished grandfather of William Giblin, Jr., Timothy Roy Giblin and Anthony J. Paolino, III. Caring brother of Rita Copley of Punta Gorda, FL and the late Mack Wareham and Jennie Pearl Hendriques. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday from 11:00 am - 12 Noon followed by Visitation from 12 Noon - 1:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Springfield, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 would be appreciated.
