(12/19/12) Evelina (Medeiros) Benevides, 67, of Rodman St., Fall River, former wife of the late Joseph Benevides, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012. She enjoyed crocheting and had an interest in technology.
She leaves 4 children, Lidia Miranda of St.Michael, Azores, Vericimo Miranda of Taunton, Jose Medeiros and his wife Paula and Maria Freitas, all of Fall River; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-gransons; siblings, Rosa Mantua and Nair Cipriano, both of Canada and Fatima Arruda and Joao Medeiros, both of the Azores; and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Helena Miranda and the daughter of the late Evaristo and Maria (Arrail) Medeiros.
Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
