(12/19/12) Gladys F. (Mandella) Connor, 78, of Providence passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of William F. Connor, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Chiarian (Cataldo) Mandella.
Mrs. Connor was a dietitian for the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Providence for 18 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Johnston Senior Center and A.A.R.P.
She was the loving mother of Michael A.Connor, Richard S. Connor and William F. Connor, Jr., all of Providence, Patricia Aznavoorian of Johnston and the late Robert Connor. Loving grandmother of four. Caring sister of Anthony Mandella of East Providence, Mary Mandella of Deltona, Florida and the late Ella Zelano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:00 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
