(12/18/12) POJDA, Stasia E. (Magiera), of West Warwick, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Pojda. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late John and Wanda (Lesko) Magiera.
Mrs. Pojda was a weaver in the textile industry for many years before retiring. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Asselin, Helen Preneta, Blanche, Walter and Maurice Magiera.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions to Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry, RI 02816 in her memory would be appreciated.
