(11/10/12) Jeannette M. Cartier, of Warwick, passed away Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Charlestown, she was a daughter of the late Emile J. and Julia M. (Michaud) Cartier.
Miss Cartier was a Supervisor of the Mortgage Department of Telephone Savings and Loan and Telephone Credit Union in Providence for 35 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Warwick. She enjoyed photography and traveling, especially to many foreign countries.
She is survived by her longtime friend and traveling companion Agnes E. Iadevaia of Warwick; 4 nieces Anne Brien of West Warwick, Elaine Andrade of Riverside, Michele Workman of Foster and Theresa Sweet of West Greenwich; 4 nephews Raymond Brien of Norwalk, CT, Normand Brien of Manchester, NH, Robert Brien of Ledyard, CT and Paul Brien of Ladera Ranch, CA; a brother in law Raymond Brien; Loving grandaunt of many. She was the sister of the late Theresa A. Brien.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday 4-8 pm.
