(11/06/12) Pawtucket – Mary C. (Lanois) Read, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth I. Read for fifty-nine years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Albert Lanois Sr. and Grace (Elderkin) Lanois. Mary was a winder at the Seekonk Lace Company for twenty years before retiring in 1988. She attended New Horizons Adult Day Center for the past three years. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Deborah A. DiChiara and her husband, Frank of Cranston and Donna M. Fontaine of Rumford; four grandchildren, Brian Fontaine, Dawn Travers, Jessica Tate and Jason Tate; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dolores A. Daviau and Albert Lanois, Jr. Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
