(11/04/12) COVENTRY. Elaine G. Prata, 59, entered into eternal rest on Thursday after being stricken at home.. She was the beloved wife of David Prata and had been married 27 years. Elaine was a daughter of the late Joseph O. and Jeanne E.(LaPlante) Goulet. She lived in the Darlington section of Pawtucket until moving to Coventry 27 years ago. Elaine had been employed at Citizens Bank prior to teaching at Bright Horizons, G-Tech. Most recently she spent time enjoying her family.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Amy Petrangelo and her husband Joseph Petrangelo Jr., her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Gabriella; a son David J. Prata and his companion David Hardy; a sister Jane Greenly and her husband Allen Greenly. She was the aunt to Mario and Michelle, Joseph, Rebecca and Elizabeth, as well as their families. The closeness to her extended family lead her to exploring her genealogy and developing her family tree.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday November 6, 2012 from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington St. Coventry, with Services in Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Rd. Warwick at 10 AM. Calling Hours in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, 5-8 PM.
