(10/30/12) West Warwick - Cole Christopher Grace, 8, of Sycamore Drive, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.
Born in Warwick, the beloved son of Christopher D. and Jennifer M. (Lovegreen) Grace and brother of Hunter E. Grace, he was a student at Greenbush Elementary School.
Cole loved being outside. Whether it was a trip to his favorite beach, Roy Carpenter’s in Matunuck, riding his bike, playing basketball with friends or just tossing a football around, Cole was not one to just sit around indoors. His athletic spirit brought him indoors as well, either practicing at RISE Gymnastics in Coventry or studying as a “Ninja Orange Belt” at Northeast Karate in West Warwick. A big fan of WWE, Cole’s favorite wrestlers were John Cena and C.M. Punk. He was a jokester. His favorite television show was Sponge Bob. He loved to read, especially Captain Underpants; and ever since he could carry a notebook and pen he loved to draw.
In addition to his parents and sister he is survived by his paternal grandmother: Mary (Rebello) Grace of East Providence; his maternal grandmother: Paula (Dube) Daigneau of Cranston; his maternal grandfather: Steven Lovegreen and his wife Mary of Jamestown; his great grandparents: Paul Dube of Matunuck, Charles and Avis Lovegreen of Jamestown and Joan Daniels of Cranston; his aunts and uncles: Robert Grace of Providence, Kathy Rickard and her husband Lee of Coventry, Jaimie Daigneau of Warwick, Nicholas Blanton of Maine and James Blanton of Jamestown. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather: Robert Grace.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick.
