Joel R A Wills - Providence, RI

(10/22/12) Joel R. A. Wills, 40, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Jane A. (Del Giudice) Durand of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Robert A. “Bobby” Wills of Warwick, and stepson of Stephen L. Durand. Joel was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and also graduated with honors from New England Institute of Technology with an Associate’s Degree in computer programming. Music, dancing and going to the movies were some of his favorite pastimes as well as reading (especially science fiction), playing chess and also playing video games with his nephew Jason. Joel loved to follow the stock market and was an avid New England Patriots fan. His family is remembering him as a very witty guy who loved his family and loved to laugh. In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is survived by his sisters Danielle R. Wills of Edgewater, FL and Dana Durand of Rockville, MD; his brother Henri Durand of Bethesda, MD; his nephew Jason J. Wills of Edgewater, FL and his niece Daisy L. Hough of Rockville, MD. He was the nephew of Donald Del Giudice of Chepachet, Richard Del Giudice of Providence, and Eugene L. Wills of Narragansett; and the maternal grandson of Lillian Del Giudice of New Smyrna Beach, FL and the late A. Richard Del Giudice as well as the paternal grandson of the late Hope V. Wills. Joel’s funeral service and burial will be private.
