(10/23/12) Pawtucket – John H. Famiglietti, Sr., 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Madeline E. (Handy) Famiglietti for 57 years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Henry and Florette (King) Famiglietti. John was a proud member of the US Marine Corps, having served in the Korean War. He worked as a chemist for Olin-Hunt Chemical Corporation and more recently as a driver for Action Auto Parts. John was a life member of the Gatchell VFW Post 306, Pawtucket, and was an avid Keno player and devoted Red Sox, Boston Bruins and NE Patriots fan. He leaves his four children, AnnMarie Hannon and her husband, John of Lynn, MA, Marsha G. Horrocks and John H. Famiglietti, Jr. and his wife, Ann all of Pawtucket and Susan P. Famiglietti of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren, Keri, Sarah, Billy, Kayla and Madison and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Devin. His funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
