(10/22/12) Benedetto F. D\'Acunto, 85, of Cranston, passed away Monday at Cedar Crest Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of Maria U. (Stabler) D\'Acunto.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Francesca (Riccardelli) D\'Acunto.
Mr. D\'Acunto was a Civil Service Employee with the United States Government. He served in The United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in West Warwick.
He was the loving father of Ronald B. D\'Acunto and his wife Deborah of Foster, Joyce M. Denis and her husband Peter and Lori A. D\'Acunto-LaVoie and her husband Robert of Cranston. Cherished brother of Gandi D\'Acunto of Colorado, Ida Peluso of Providence and Yolanda D\'Acunto of Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with full military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Friday 9:00-11:00 am.
