West Greenwich- Contardo, Peter A., 41, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 15, 2012. He was the loving father of Ethan J. and Hannah R. Contardo. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Peter A. and Judith R. (Shelton) Contardo.
Peter had a very active lifestyle. He was a wrestler and soccer player in high school, an experienced skier, snowmobile rider and motorcyclist. He was known to be an outdoorsman; camping in Maine as well as enjoying water skiing, canoeing, boating and riding four wheelers. Some other interests were practicing Judo and Martial Arts, going to the shooting range, music (especially reggae) and the New England Patriots.
He always seemed to be at the center of friendships that seemed to have formed because of his influence among many people. He was a loving father and was very involved with his children and all their activities.
Besides his parents and children, he is survived by his three siblings: Greg Contardo of Coventry, Laura St. Lawrence of West Greenwich, Paula Mangino West Greenwich and five nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 11 AM – 2 PM on Saturday, October 20th at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will be private. Information and condolences at carpenterjenks.com.
