(09/10/15) Joseph A. DePasquale, Sr., 84, of Summerfield, Florida formerly of Warwick passed away on September 4, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Hilda (Paulo) DePasquale. Born in Providence, he was one of eleven children born to the late Giuseppe and Giustina (Marina) DePasquale.
Mr. DePasquale was a Teacher for the Coventry High School Vocational for 30 years and Chariho Regional for 5 years. He also served in The United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a graduate of R.I.C. and U.R.I., was an Amateur Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed Science and Mathematics. Joseph was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
He was the loving father of Joseph A. DePasquale, Jr. of Warwick, Mary Ann DiBenedetto and her husband Joseph of Georgia and Lori A. Clements and her husband Brad of Warwick. Caring brother of Dorothy Cerra of Smithfield. Cherished grandfather of five and great grandfather of two.
His funeral will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4 pm.
