(08/29/15) Ralph W. Knox, 86, of Warwick died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth M. (Bennett) Knox who died October 11, 2007.
Born in Providence, Ralph was a son of the late Phillip and Bertha (Denkewitz) Knox.
During WWII, Ralph honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he earned both his Bachelors and Master’s Degrees. Ralph was employed as a teacher at Rogers High School in Newport for twenty-five years until retiring.
Ralph is survived by his beloved children: Ralph Steven Knox of Colorado, Kenneth R. Knox and Kathleen M. Seltzer, both of RI and Carol Gustafson of CA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His funeral service was held in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home followed by a committal service with full military honors in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
Arrangements were under the care and direction of THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, RI.
