(08/26/15) Lucille was raised on a farm outside Springboro OH, the eldest daughter of John H. Fish and Rosa M. (Heiss) Fish. During WW II she attended Miami-Jacobs Business School in Dayton before marrying Howard C. Logan, 29 September 1942. A devoted housewife and mother until 1962, when the family moved to Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, Lucille did work four years as secretary to the superintendent of schools in St Marys OH. A quiet figure in the social life of Mattapoisett, Lucille volunteered thousands of hours at the veterans hospital in Brockton MA, learned to refinish furniture and cane chairs and in the summer was a fixture playing bridge with friends at the beach. When Howard retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1985, the two moved to Westerly to be near family.
Lucille is survived by her son Charles and his wife, Patricia of Westerly, her grandson Christopher and his wife, Amy of West Warwick, and her two great-grandsons, Reese and Garrett. She is also survived by a brother, Samuel N. Fish and his wife Barbara of Springboro, Ohio and by thirteen nieces and nephews. Lucille was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, two brothers, four sisters, a neice and a nephew. She died on January 7, 2015 at the Apple-Rehab Center on Post Road in Westerly.
