(08/22/15) CAIRO, Anna J., 84, of Toll Gate Road, Warwick, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick.
Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Elsie M. (Petrocelli) Cairo. She was a lifelong resident of Warwick.
Ms. Cairo was employed at Fleet Bank in Arctic now Bank of America for many years serving as branch manager and assistant vice president before retiring. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where she served on the finance and social committees, the Italian Heritage Committee and was a member of the Pawtuxet Valley Historical Society.
She is survived by her aunt, Gilda Petrocelli of Warwick, several cousins and dear friends. She was the sister of the late John B. \"Johnny\" Cairo.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at 9 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick. Interment will be private. Visiting hours Monday 5-7 pm.
