(08/18/15) Irene M. (Loignon) Solgot, 74, of West Warwick passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Cecilia (Bergeron) Loignon.
Irene was a Customer Service Representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. until her retirement.
She was the beloved mother of Michelle R. Comery and her husband David of Coventry, Richard A. Solgot, Jr. and his wife Diane of Warwick and Theodore Solgot and his wife Kathleen of Coventry. Loving grandmother of Richard, Crystal, Christopher and Lily. Cherished great grandmother of Samuel and Evelyn. Caring sister of Claire Davis of Coventry, Jeanne Lamoureaux of Cranston and the late Ernest, Arthur and Joseph “Roger” Loignon and Theresa Ouimette.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in SS John & Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
