(08/13/15) NARDONE, Anna C. (DiCarlo), 83, formerly of Cranston, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 13, 2015 at home with her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Nardone, they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Domenic and Rosina (DiFiore) DiCarlo.
Mrs. Nardone began her career at Warwick City Hall and the former Industrial National Bank before devoting time to raise her daughters. She was the former vice president of Nardone Construction for many years before retiring. She was a past member of Potowomut Golf Club, the Women’s Youth League of RI and the ICC Women’s Sodality. She was a person of deep faith and a long time communicant of Immaculate Conception and Holy Apostle Churches. A compassionate and gentle soul, her smile and kindness touched the lives of many. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, her love and support were endless.
She leaves two daughters, Patricia Nardone Soscia, M.D. and her husband Stephen G. Soscia of North Kingstown and Donna R. Nardone of Narragansett and three granddaughters, Jillian, Julia and Jacqueline Soscia. She was the sister of the late Jerry, Alfred, Michael and William DiCarlo.
Her funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at 8:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Interment will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm.
