(07/15/15) Myron A. Morgan passed away at the age of 78 on June 24, 2015. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Mathilde O. Morgan. He was the son of the late Dallas and Clara Morgan. He was born in La Salle, Michigan.
Morgan was a U.S. Army Veteran and a General Manager for various companies. He was a self-employed business owner and a gun smith. After retiring, he went back to work as a Service Manager for Walmart and considered many there as family. He was also a Free Mason.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons; Myron Morgan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michael and Matthew Morgan of West Warwick, Rhode Island and his daughter; Mathilde Morgan of Coventry, Rhode Island, and four grandchildren that were his life. He is also survived by a brother; Gerald Morgan of Ridgeland, South Carolina and sisters; Sharon Dauer and Sandra Johnson of Dallas, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by the late Dean Morgan.
Military Honors will be held at 4:00 pm on July 24, 2015 followed by Calling Hours from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI 02816.
