(07/08/15) David C. Page, 70, of Colonial Drive, Westerly, passed away on Monday afternoon, July 6, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia T. (Tattersall) Page of Westerly, RI, his son, David S. Page of Westerly, RI, his grandson, Jacob D. Page of Westerly, RI, his brother, William S. Page, husband of Susan, of Athol, MA, his brother, Charles B. Page, husband of Gayle of Claremont, NJ, his sister, Martha W. Stevens, wife of Raymond of East Hampton, MA, his sister, Barbara L. Roe of Virginia Beach, VA, his sister-in-law, Cathy L. Cherenzia, wife of Salvatore, of North Stonington, CT and his sister-in-law, Judy L. Gloria, wife of John, of Suffield, CT and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Page was pre-deceased by his sister, Judith A. Blake.
Mr. Page was born in Winchester, MA on March 7, 1945, the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Stewart) Page. He was a graduate of Athol High School, Class of 1963 and a member of the Athol High School Football Hall of Fame. He went on to attend Stockbridge University at U-Mass Amherst. After college, David proudly enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, attaining the grade of E-5. He served two tours of Vietnam and served in Korea, where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. After service to our country, David became a car salesman and general manager, lastly working for Premier Motors, where he worked as a wholesaler for the last few years. He was an avid golfer.
A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at Christ Church, 7 Elm Street, Westerly, RI. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 10, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly, RI. Burial will take place at a later date at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly, RI.
