(07/04/15) Vincent DiMartino, 83, of North Kingstown died Friday, July 3, 2015 at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Carlow) DiMartino.
Born in Philadelphia, Vincent was a son of the late Vincenzo and Rose (Garriephy) DiMartino. He was employed as a self-employed commercial fisherman, retiring in 1993. Vincent honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Vincent is also survived by a daughter: Gail R. Crouch (John) of No. Kingstown; a brother: John DiMartino (Judith) of Warwick; two grandchildren: Vincent A. Crouch (Danielle) and Kayla J. Breese (Matthew) and three great-grandchildren: Matthew, Olivia and Isabella.
He was predeceased by a son: David J. DiMartino and his sisters: Marion Covey, Rita Judd and Jeanette DeCeasare.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10 AM in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., (Exit 12-A off I-95). Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 6 PM – 8 PM. Burial with military honors will take place in RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
