(05/21/15) Grace Loretta (Patterson) Brett, 100, of Pawtucket, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket. Mrs. Brett was the wife of the late Thomas A. Brett.
Born in Providence, Grace was a daughter of the late James F. and Mary A. (Lyons) Patterson. A resident of Pawtucket since 1947, she resided in the Darlington section until moving to The Residence in 1995.
Mrs. Brett was employed for twelve years for the State of RI School Lunch Program. She was a member for many years of St. Cecilia Fraternity of The Third of Mary, the Senior Citizens Groups at St. Leo the Great Parish, St. Joseph Parish and St. Teresa Parish. She served as a past president of St. Leo Tabernacle Society and for 47 years was a bridge club member.
Grace is survived by her devoted children: Thomas K. Brett of San Antonio, Texas, Virginia M. Loontjens of Narragansett, Susan L. Perron of Little Compton and Maryann Martin of Warren. She was predeceased by her daughter: Karen A. Garfield and her siblings: Jennie Gadouas, Helen Gilligan and Margaret Lamb. Mrs. Brett was the cherished grandmother of: Suellen Hickey, Sharon Green, Kathy Paris, Meghan Brett, Kevin Loontjens, Kathryn Goldman, Jay Perron and Michael Brett and great-grandmother of: Margaret and Michael Hickey, Jack, Benjamin and Thomas Green, Giana and Ava Paris, Emma, Eleanor and Joseph Goldman, John Loontjens and Campbell Brett.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11 AM in the Chapel of The St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St., Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at The Residence on Friday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
