(04/14/15) Lincoln – Evan Robertson Miller, 23, of Lincoln died peacefully Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved son of Stephen M. and Lori (Robertson) Miller of Lincoln. He was the loving brother of Kristen E. Miller of Las Vegas, NV; and the beloved grandson of Rosemarie Robertson of North Providence and Helen Miller of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Edward Robertson and William P. Miller.
Evan was a 2010 graduate of Lincoln High School where he was a member of the Swim Team for 4 years and was co-captain in his senior year. He also played volleyball for 4 years and was a member of the Lincoln High School Band for 4 years. After his graduation, he was the team manager of the Boys Volleyball Team and was the assistant coach of the Unified Basketball Team, both at Lincoln High School. He was attending CCRI.
A Special Olympian, he was selected to represent Rhode Island three times at the National Special Olympic Games, where he won 3 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals, all in swimming. In 2010, he was named the Rhode Island Special Olympics Athlete of the Year.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 18 at 11 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. His burial will be private.
