(09/24/12) Ruth M. (Melandsee) Hayes, 83, of Warwick passed away Saturday at Sunny View Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William R. Hayes, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ina V. (Wahlund) Melandsee.
Mrs. Hayes was a secretary for Grinnell Corp. for 10 years, retiring in 1960. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Women\'s Group. She enjoyed Needlepoint, Card Playing and solving crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her caregivers Robert C. and Dawn M. White.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Saturday from 8:00-9:00 am in St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick followed by a Funeral Service at 9:00 am Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
