(02/23/15) DARTMOUTH — Timothy R. DuPonte, 34, of Dartmouth, died Friday, February 20, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was employed as a shop manager with Ocean State Transit, E. Providence. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and cooking. He was the founder of Mass Jeepers, a Jeep off-road enthusiasts club.
Survivors include his children, James Robert DuPonte and Emma Jean DuPonte, his soulmate, Marie Lariviere and her son; his parents, Robert G. and Nancy (Flynn) DuPonte, siblings, Ryan J. DeCosta and Andrew G. DuPonte, a grandfather, George F. DuPonte, a godson, Travis Soares, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Delores (Camara) DuPonte and the late James and Lauretta (Levesque) Flynn.
His funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
