(02/22/15) Young, Agnes M. (Audet), 71, passed away after a twelve year battle with cancer. She was married for 49 years to her husband, William \"Billy\" H. Young of Hope, RI. Born in Providence, RI; she was the daughter of the late Leonard J. and Mary R. (Bouchard) Audet.
Agnes was a driver for the Senior Van in the town of Scituate. Her passengers enjoyed her company as much as she enjoyed theirs. Her true calling was being a devoted and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and overall caretaker of the home. She was known to always look immaculate no matter the circumstances. She was a savvy \"yardsaler\" and enjoyed to sew.
Being known as a selfless person, she would give you the shirt off her back with a smile. She was a blessing to so many people and touched so many lives and was the rock of her family. There will be a void now that she has gone; however there is comfort knowing that when she entered heaven, God said to her \" well done my good and faithful servant\".
Besides her husband Bill, she is survived by two daughters: Lisa Marie Benson (Mark Benson) of Scituate and Rhonda Palmisano (Robert Palmisano) of West Greenwich; three grandchildren: Scott Arthur Benson, Jaimee Elisabeth Benson and Olivia Elizabeth Palmisano; four siblings: her twin Mary Rose Ellingwood, Patricia Moore, Elizabeth Utter and Peter Audet. She is predeceased by two brothers: Leonard J. Audet and Raymond J. Audet.
Her funeral service will take place at Solid Rock Church, 1753 Phenix Avenue, Cranston, RI 02921 on Friday, February 27 at 10 AM followed with interment at Notre Dame Cemetery in West Warwick. Visitation will be at Solid Rock Church on Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Solid Rock Church. Remembrances may be shared at carpenterjenks.com
