(01/29/15) Scituate - Sandra H. Campbell, 71, of Garden Lane, Hope, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Donald S. Campbell, Chief of the Hope & Jackson Fire Company, who died on October 6, 2014.
Born in South Kingstown, a daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Marguerite (Day) Hargraves of Hope, she worked as an insurance agent for Pearson, Cronin & Jacobson for 17 years, retiring in 2001, so she could spend more time with her first grandson.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, bowling and spoiling her two grandchildren. She loved going to Florida every November with close friends, riding bikes and walking on the beach.
She will be remembered as a woman who was beloved by all. She was the neighborhood “Mimi”. She wasn\'t just Tyler & Jacob\'s Mimi, she was the neighborhood Mimi.
She is the mother of Heather McNamara, Heidi Campbell & the late Holly Campbell and grandmother, a/k/a “Mimi”, of Tyler & Jacob McNamara all of Hope.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church, 604 Seven Mile Road, Scituate. At her request, calling hours have been omitted. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Bristol.
