James O'Hara - Cranston, RI

(01/20/15) James O\'Hara, 83, of Bristol formerly of Cranston passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Patrick and Ellen (O’Connell) O’Hara. Mr. O’Hara was a Letter Carrier for The United States Postal Service, serving at the Cranston facility until his retirement in 2001. He served in The United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. O’Hara was a communicant of St. Mark Church for over 45 years and was a life member of Knights of Columbus, Fr. Donnelly Council. He was also a member of Letter Carriers Union Branch 15. He was the loving brother of Deacon Thomas O’Hara of Cranston, Ann O’Hara Turbitt of The Villages, FL, Ellen C. Sherman of Gloucester and the late John, Michael and Leo O’Hara and Mary Bolton. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Mark Church, Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Mark Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston, RI 02920 would be appreciated
