(09/13/12) Doris E. (Thompson) Janelle, 86, of Cranston, passed away Wednesday at Coventry Skilled Nursing. She was the wife of the late Herbert A. Jannelle. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Drury) Thompson.
Mrs. Jannelle was an Administrative Assistant for Shell Oil Co. until her retirement and was previously the owner and real estate agent of Jannelle Realty of Cranston. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Cranston. A prolific writer, she leaves as her epitaph “I came, I saw, I went.”
She was the beloved mother of Robert A. Jannelle and his wife Joan of Jamestown. Loving grandmother of Kerrie Jannelle and Robert D. Jannelle. She was the sister of the late William, Edward and Richard Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Monday, September 7, 2012 from 8:15-9:15 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
