(01/02/15) CARREIRO, Maria S. (Andrade), 85, of Main Street, Coventry, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at Kent Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Jose L. Carreiro. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Sabastiao and Virginia (Palrao) Andrade.
She is survived by three sons, Jose M. Carreiro of Riverside, Joao C. Carreiro of West Warwick and Paul R. Carreiro of Warwick; six daughters, Encarnacao Figuerido of West Warwick, Natalia Cabral of Rehoboth, MA, Irene Torres of West Warwick, Filomena Costa of West Warwick, Delfina Sebastiao of West Warwick and Florinda Carreiro of Providence; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Victor Carreiro.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at 9 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm.
