(01/01/15) Coventry - Alfred E. Valliere, 87, passed into the arms of his Lord on Tuesday morning. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile (LeBeau) Valliere.
Born in Quidnick, he was a US Army veteran of WWII previously serving in the US Maritime Service. He worked as an aircraft examiner at Quonset Point NAS. After the base closed he worked as a boiler operator in the power plant at the Institute for Mental Health, Cranston.
He is survived by one son Robert P. Valliere & his wife Kathleen of Cranston. He was the beloved companion of Mary Amaral of Coventry and brother of the late Doris Tessitore, Theresa E. Riel, Del, Lionel, Armand and Raymond Valliere.
Funeral from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick Monday at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry at 10. Calling hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
