(12/31/14) Marie T. (Paradise) Hickey, 84, of Warwick died Tuesday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Hickey.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary R. (Sullivan) Paradise, she had been a Warwick resident for 27 years and had previously resided in East Haven, CT for many years. Mrs. Hickey was a call center operator for AAA. A graduate of St. Xavier Academy in 1948, Mrs. Hickey was a volunteer for Call for Action, a member of the St. Timothy Altar Guild and the St. Benedict Circle Daughters of Isabella.
She leaves a daughter, Claire M. Hickey of Warwick;a son, James J. Hickey and his wife Laura of Branford, CT; 2 sisters, Lorraine Hempe and her husband Rudi of Narragansett and Claire H. Paradise of Warwick. She was the grandmother of Charles, Jessica, Ashley, Eric and Jason. She leaves several nephews and nieces; her dog, Tyolee. She was the mother of the late Charles A. Hickey sister of the late Rita L. Paradise.
Her funeral will be Saturday at 8 AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue, Warwick at 9 AM.
