(12/30/14) Alice I. Hohler, 87, of Warwick passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Kent Hospital. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Lester I. and Emily R. (Ruville) Hohler and sister of the late Hope E. (Hohler) Maynard.
Miss Hohler was an Educator for the Warwick School System until her retirement in 1986. She was a graduate of Lockwood High School, class of 1943, R.I.C.E., class of 1947 and received her Masters in Education from Boston University. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and a member of the Warwick Retired Teachers Association.
She was the beloved sister-in-law of Leonard T. Maynard of Warwick. Cherished aunt of Judith Ann Berube of Mashpee, MA and Mark L. Maynard of Warwick. Loving grandaunt of Connor M. Berube of Warwick. Longtime friend of Robert Barrie of Coventry.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-6:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
