(12/30/14) Deschenes, Paul B., 58, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, December 20th at home. Paul was born in Pawtucket on May 26, 1956. He attended Tolman High School and worked in the family plumbing business with his father, Bertrand Deschenes. Upon the death of his father, Paul maintained the business as a master plumber and owner of “Plumbing by Paul”. Paul will be remembered by family and friends as being very caring and generous and always a gentleman. His customers will always remember him as an honest and reliable craftsman. Paul’s funeral services will be private.
He is survived by his mother; Denise (Golla) Deschenes of Pawtucket, his two sisters; Jocelyn Haley and Liliane Birtz, his niece; Kasey Birtz and nephew; Nathan Haley. Paul leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins in Rhode Island, Canada and France. Paul’s extended family includes his mentor and best friend; Turner Johnson, and his close friends; Ernie Patricio and Georgette Uttley.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society of Rhode Island, St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Greenville or The Church of the Good Sheppard, Pawtucket would be appreciated.
