(09/12/12) Agnes V. Costello, 97, of Nooseneck Hill Road, Exeter, RI passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Providence, RI she was the wife of the late Mark H. Costello and the daughter of the late William A. and Gertrude A. (Michon) Swanson. Agnes worked for the Scituate School Dept. from 1962 to 1969. She was a member of the Richmond Grange #6.
Agnes is survived by a son; William J. Costello; three daughters; Rosemary Mattias, Marcia Bryson and Pamela Costello, a sister; Grace Taylor, twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter; Ann L. Stone, two sisters; Dorothy Swanson and Louise DuGuay and a great grandson; Dillon Martin.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society or Spinal Muscular Atrophy Association.
