(09/11/12) LaVENA, ANTHONY A. 94 of Cranston, passed away September 10, 2012 at Cra-Mar Meadows Nursing Home, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Castergine) LaVena. Mr & Mrs LaVena would have been married 65 years October 6. Born in Providence a son of the late Louis and Antonetta (Sarno) LaVena. Mr LaVena was a buyer and salesman of Furniture for the former Outlet Co. before retiring. Anthony was a WW II Army Veteran. He was the loving uncle of 5 nephews and 3 nieces. He was the brother of the late Victor and Benny LaVena, Nancy Grossi and Frances Sanantonio. His funeral and visitation will be Saturday from 8a.m. -9 a.m. at \'\'WOODLAWN\'\' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann\'s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Anthony\'s memory may be made to the Alzheimer\'s Association 245 Waterman St. Providence, R.I. 02906
